Following on from the WFX Series 1, the WFX Series 2 was produced by WAGR between 1973 and 1974 primarily for container traffic. The series 2 came with removable twist locks as standard to replace the previous removable clamping system used in the original series 1.
Between 1979 and 1981 the WFX wagons were reclassified to WQCX and a number of modifications and reclassification followed in later years.

The centre sills and frames are slotted to facilitate assembly.
Bogies and kadee couplers are included.
Comes with #158 Scale Head kadee couplers but #148 couplers can be included instead.
