AQWY is a model of one of the conversions of the WFX/WQCX which saw weight removed from the orginal wagon by further cutouts along the sills, decks and frames, reducing the Tare weight and allowing the Load weight to be increased.
Their are 4 versions available reflecting different orginal wagons from which they where converted and variations in the cutouts undertaken in the modifications.
The kit consists of an acrylic based golden yellow 0.8 mm and white 1 mm cut parts to construct the deck, sills and framing and 0.25 mm styrene strip for the flanges. The centre sills and frames are slotted to facilitate assembly. Injection molded bogies, blackened steel wheels and Kadee #158 scale head couplers are included as standard.
